Digital Citizenship Meetings

 Dear Parents and Guardians,

Last week among our middle school students we had several fake instagram accounts created about teachers.  Inappropriate and disrespectful comments and photographs were posted on these accounts and these accounts were followed by a significant number of students. We feel these issues are serious enough that they require an emergency meeting for all 7th and 8th grade parents.

Because this meeting is mandatory for 7th and 8th grade, (optional for 6th grade parents) we are offering two different dates so that all parents can attend.  Please RSVP using this link If you are unable to attend either of these meetings, we will make arrangements to meet with you separately, but we ask that you make every effort to attend one of these dates so that we can minimize the number of separate meetings.

MS Digital Citizenship Meetings - please make plans to attend one

Monday, November 1  at 5:30pm

Thursday, November 4 at 5:30pm

Update: the meetings will be held in the cafeteria.
Please RSVP even if you are unable to attend so that we know who to contact for a make up meeting.

Week 2 updates - Calendar, Schedule, Technology needs

 Happy Monday!

Congrats to all the middle school students on making it through their first week back!

A couple updates:

Here is a link to our calendar of A/B-days. As we get updated on events we will add them to this calendar. We will also do our best to post it here at the beginning of each month.

Here is a copy of our student facing schedule. Students should have received a hard copy of this last week that they could fill in with their teachers. If your student is in need of a new one, please feel free to print this out or tell them to see Ms. Scott before or after school because she has lots of extra copies!

An announcement from our admin team:

We will be Map testing the week of  August 23rd.  Your students will need to bring their technology to school by Wednesday so that you have enough time to ensure that computers are updated by our IT department.  We are requesting that all Chromebook and iPads be brought in by Wednesday.  If a student's technology is broken/lost please report it to the teacher immediately as teachers will need to check equipment.

The middle school team is trying to check in on the technology needs of our students. Your middle schooler should have completed a survey about their technology needs but please reach out if you have any concerns.

Welcome to Middle School!

 Hello students and families!

Thank you to everyone who attended Meet the Teacher this afternoon! We look forward to seeing students on Monday!

If you were not able to pick up your schedule, students can access their schedule through classlink https://launchpad.classlink.com/saisd and click on the backpack to find their courses. They have a number before the teacher's name that will indicate the class period. During 1st period on Monday we will go over the student schedule times and calendar.

Here is the handout that we provided with teacher contact information, our cell phone policy, and dress code

Here is where you can find the Bonham supply list. Students can leave the community supplies with their 1st period teacher on Monday (tissues, wipes, soaps, etc.). Students should keep the personal supplies with them in their backpack (binders, journals, pencils, etc.).

Students, please bring your charged school laptops and chargers on Monday along with your other supplies.

Have a wonderful weekend!
